Riverbend Rally Walk/Run Thursday, July 4th, 7:30 a.m. Dale Howard Family Activity Center 1021 River Street Iowa Falls, IA 50126
COURSE DESCRIPTION: 5K and 8K courses will both be starting and finishing at the Dale Howard Family Activity Center. 5K: an out and back course with rolling hills...head south on River Street, turn west on Union Street following the scenic Iowa River, turn around at Weaver’s Cove and follow the same route back to town finishing near the start on River Street. 8K: a loop course with gently rolling hills...head north on River Street, turn west on Siloam Road and follow out of town, turn south on J Ave., east on River Road and meeting up with the 5K course at Weaver’s Cove following the road into town, turning north on River Street to finish near the starting line. View Larger Map KIDS RUN: There will be a 1K kids run for ages 3-14. The start time will be after most participants have finished the 5K and 8K races, but it is a good idea to be registered by 8 a.m. The course is yet to be determined. Ribbons will be awarded to all participants. AWARDS: Medals will be awarded to the top male and female in each of the following age groups (not counting the overall finishers): 14 and younger, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and older. Plaques will also be awarded to the overall top male and female finisher. Ribbons will be awarded to all participants in the kids run. OTHER INFO: Showers will be available for free at the Dale Howard Center after the race, please make sure to bring your own toiletries and towel. Race day registration will be available starting at 6 a.m. at the Dale Howard Family Activity Center. Online registration will end at 8 p.m. July 3rd. MILES OF SMILES: Iowa Falls Family Dentistry is sponsoring the third annual “Miles of Smiles Race Series”. The Riverbend Rally is a qualifying race for the series.
